Robin Bishop is a Founding Partner of BGH Capital. Previously, Robin was Head of Macquarie Capital, Australia and New Zealand, leading the region’s largest and most active investment banking team. In this role, Robin oversaw Macquarie Capital’s balance sheet investments in the region, valued at between A$500 million and A$1 billion in aggregate at any given time. He was also a member of the Macquarie Capital and Macquarie Group Management Committees. Prior to being appointed Head of Macquarie Capital, Robin personally led Macquarie’s very profitable private equity investments in Dyno Nobel and Boart Longyear.

In 2016, Robin was named “Australia’s Most Powerful Dealmaker” by the Australian Financial Review , having led over A$125 billion in mergers and acquisitions and advisory mandates and over A$40 billion in capital raising assignments across a range of sectors and markets.

Robin holds a Bachelor of Commerce, a Bachelor of Law (Honours) and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Melbourne.

Robin is a Commissioner on the Australian Football League Commission and a Non-Executive Director of the Burnet Institute for Medical Research. He currently serves on the Australian Takeovers Panel.
